Characteristics and Preferences of the Feeler

Practices for you

  • Stories: yours, others', from sacred texts
  • Listen to inspiring music
  • Seek out places of informal gathering where you can interact with others and share experiences
  • Use devotional materials that share stories and invite you to journal or consider your own.
  • Worship services for you would be an informal setting conducive to sharing
  • A service that moves as the Spirit moves; considering the needs of participants
  • Prayers, sermons, and other media are presented from the heart, not overly rehearsed

Some challenges you may face

  • Becoming smug in your beliefs
  • Surviving the spiritual lows
  • Valuing the paths others take to connect with Holy

Be careful, dear Feeler, that you don't get too smug in your spirituality. Your full heart is a powerful influence - use it well. Your personal spiritual experience allows you to worship anywhere you feel joy. It's easy for you to get too isolated in your spirit. To stay grounded, engage in acts of service for others beyond yourself and your usual group of loved ones. Engage your inner Advocate and volunteer in your community.

Some Questions to Ponder For Continued Spiritual Growth

    • How much do you blame yourself for past mistakes, and are you holding onto grudges toward others?
    • How honest are you with yourself? Do you honestly love and appreciate everything about who you are?
    • How well do you know your true inner self? How much time do you spend getting to know the person you really are?
    • Do you suffer from inner turmoil?
    • Do you lack inner peace and contentment?
    • How easily can you forgive others?
    • What's missing in your spiritual life?

The work of nurturing your spirit starts with your relationship with yourself. Whether your health and happiness are suffering, or you want to learn to prevent future problems, tending to and cultivating your spirit is a critical part of self-care and healthy habits. And taking care of your spirit requires new ways of thinking.
